N11 by Duboković packs a hole other range of flavours, structure and oomph. Perfectly suitable by it's own on a chill late winter day, also insanely bang for the buck. Moja M is an orange wine, skin-contact wine, amber wine, call it whatever you like. I call it spectacular. It is 100% Maraština, an indigenous Dalmatian grape variety that can be found along the entire Dalmatian coastline, but that can also be found in Greece on Zakynthos under the name Pavlos, and in Italy as Malvasia Biancha Lunga. It macerates for weeks on end on the perfectly ripe berries of Maraština grapes before it undergoes lees ageing.

My first proper encounter with Croatian wines was in 2018 when I began visiting the country more frequently. I quickly fell in love with the wine and food scene and with great passion, I decided to introduce my friends and family to my newly explored love. Luckily for me, most people shared the same enthusiasm after trying a red, full-body Plavac Mali or a fresh and fruity white Pošip. This is when it became clear to me: Most people have no clue Croatia even produces wine, but the vast majority adore it and would love to be able to get a piece of it on a regular basis.
